Greymouth New Zealand
Greymouth is one of the larger towns on the West Coast of New Zealand - known for its rich gold mining history and jade hunting history. You can explore both of these at the History House Museum which has exhibits about the gold mining and jade hunting past. To the south of Greymouth is the popular attraction - Shantytown Heritage Park - a re-created gold rush town with a museum and steam train. To the north of Greymouth, a popular attraction is the Point Elizabeth Walkway which winds along coastal clifftops to the forests of Rapahoe Scenic Reserve. The Rapahoe Scenic Reserve is home to an abundance of birdlife.
